White Marble Wallpaper by Piet Hein Eek

For this collection we scanned the marble floors of a canal house in Amsterdam. Piet Hein Eek: “A lot of companies have made marble reproduction products, but never in the way we envisioned it. So we decided to give it a try. When the printing proofs came in we had the exact same thrill as we had five years earlier with the Scrapwood Wallpaper. Marble wallpaper is available in several different tile sizes and colors. You just want to install it everywhere.” In the scenography image the marble is “bookmatched” which occurs when two or more stone slabs are mirrored to match the veining found in the material. When the slabs are placed end to end, the veining and movement continue from one slab into the other, creating a continuous flow or pattern. This effect is available for all our marble wallpapers by request.
